It said that its priority is to promote a safe, responsible crypto economy and protect its customers.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p2\">Genesis<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">Like the Terra-Luna collapse, FTX\u2019s implosion led to a chain of events that also affected the crypto exchange Gemini and the crypto-lending platform Genesis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">On Nov. 16, the crypto lender announced that its halting all withdrawals due to the FTX\u2019s collapse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Genesis had already taken a hit after the collapse of Three Arrows Capital (3AC) following the Terra-Luna crash. The collapse of FTX pushed the lender to the point of halting withdrawals.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\">Coinbase\u2019s approach<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">Coinbase published its document on Nov. 8 and posted it on Twitter on Nov. 16.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The document explains why there can\u2019t be a \u201crun on the bank\u201d at Coinbase, lays out its capital position, and gives details on its risk team. Coinbase says that it avoids the risk of illiquidity by holding customer assets 1:1 and backing all institutional lending by collateral.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In terms of its capital, Coinbase currently has $1.5 billion of assets, half of which is on chainlink.
