The most notable laser-eyed personalities once included NFL star Tom Brady, Paris Hilton and Elon Musk. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s typically used as a symbol for showcasing their bullish outlook for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies more broadly. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"qme\" dir=\"ltr\">#NewProfilePic pic.twitter.com\/G471l4Cn9v<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ParisHilton (@ParisHilton) April 2, 2021<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s post has been littered with responses from the crypto community, both delighted and amused by the obvious oversight. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden is a Bitcoin maxi now. Haters in disbelief,\u201d declared one user.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">sleepy joe w the laser eyes and you think etf getting rejected? https:\/\/t.co\/i4JyLoPqze<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Hal Press (@NorthRockLP) August 3, 2023<\/p>\n<p>Other users piled on, saying that Biden had just provided the \u201cbiggest endorsement of Bitcoin history\u201d while another suggested that Biden was trying to \u201cwin over Bitcoin maxis.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Republican candidate wants to end President Biden\u2019s supposed \u2018war on Bitcoin\u2019 if elected<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration has been criticized by the community for its not-so-welcoming stance towards crypto which includes controversial tax proposals for digital asset miners and other \u201canti-crypto\u201d political efforts. It is thus unlikely the coffee mug design was in reference to Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>The coffee mug\u2019s name is in reference to \u201cDark Brandon\u201d \u2014 Biden\u2019s meme-based online alter-ego.
