{"id":1149,"date":"2022-01-15T18:21:23","date_gmt":"2022-01-15T18:21:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoheretostay.com\/?p=1149"},"modified":"2022-01-15T18:21:23","modified_gmt":"2022-01-15T18:21:23","slug":"100-in-crypto-mati-greenspan-puts-institutional-adoption-and-crypto-hedging-into-perspective","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoheretostay.com\/?p=1149","title":{"rendered":"100% in crypto Mati Greenspan puts institutional adoption and crypto hedging into perspective\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\namzn_assoc_placement = \"adunit0\";\r\namzn_assoc_tracking_id = \"totafreearti-20\";\r\namzn_assoc_ad_mode = \"search\";\r\namzn_assoc_ad_type = \"smart\";\r\namzn_assoc_marketplace = \"amazon\";\r\namzn_assoc_region = \"US\";\r\namzn_assoc_default_search_phrase = \"crypto\";\r\namzn_assoc_default_category = \"All\";\r\namzn_assoc_search_bar = \"false\";\r\namzn_assoc_title = \"\";\r\namzn_assoc_rows =\"1\";\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"\/\/z-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/onejs?MarketPlace=US\"><\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>Mati Greenspan is frequently mentioned in top-tier financial media, as a prominent investment specialist with macroeconomic analysis, portfolio diversification, and crypto in his focus.<\/p>\n<p>The founder and CEO of Quantum Economics revealed what\u2019s on the horizon for his company that provides analysis, advisory, and money management services in the field of crypto and traditional markets, and shared his perspective on how mass adoption could affect Bitcoin\u2019s\u00a0 \u2018uncorrelated asset\u2019 status.<\/p>\n<h2>Bitcoin price and Fed printing money<\/h2>\n<p>Back in July, when Bitcoin was testing a major downtrend, two institutional clients asked for S2F opinion\u2013a poor strategy, according to Greenspan.<\/p>\n<p>Often used as a Bitcoin price prediction method, the stock-to-flow model divides the asset\u2019s current supply (stock) by its annual production (flow).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA simple rule of technical analysis\u2013anytime you talk about charts, charting data is past data\u2013doesn\u2019t tell you what\u2019s going to happen in future,\u201d said Greenspan, explaining the limitations of historic data.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt can\u2019t predict the demand side,\u201d he argued, noting that \u201c\u200b\u200bprice movement within a massive range is not a good indication of where the price is going in short-term.<\/p>\n<p>According to Greenspan, who views support above $30.000 as extremely bullish, \u201c$45.000 is the mid-term price target, and anything below $40.000 is a buying opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin climbed above $44.000 after a full week of trading at lower prices, as the US inflation rate hit 7%\u2013its biggest annual gain since 1982.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery time the Fed prints, the price goes up, when they start pulling back stimulus things get volatile\u201d Greenspan pointed to a direct correlation with Bitcoin price.<\/p>\n<p>Crypto and other so-called \u2018risk assets\u2019 such as stocks tend to attract investors when fiat currencies face devaluation.<\/p>\n<p>Crypto trading volumes tied to the Turkish lira recently reached a 15-month high as Turks raced to get rid of their national currency that lost 40% of its value since September 2021.<\/p>\n<h2>Institutional adoption<\/h2>\n<p>While this year could potentially mean big money pouring into Bitcoin\u2013aka \u2018institutional adoption\u2019 at full throttle\u2013leading to a significant price surge\u2013the question is what then?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstitutional adoption is indeed a death nail to the uncorrelated narrative.
