{"id":11356,"date":"2023-04-07T10:49:06","date_gmt":"2023-04-07T10:49:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cryptoheretostay.com\/?p=11356"},"modified":"2023-04-07T10:49:07","modified_gmt":"2023-04-07T10:49:07","slug":"craig-wright-believes-apple-is-in-breach-of-his-copyright-to-bitcoins-whitepaper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoheretostay.com\/?p=11356","title":{"rendered":"Craig Wright believes Apple is in breach of his copyright to Bitcoin\u2019s whitepaper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\namzn_assoc_placement = \"adunit0\";\r\namzn_assoc_tracking_id = \"totafreearti-20\";\r\namzn_assoc_ad_mode = \"search\";\r\namzn_assoc_ad_type = \"smart\";\r\namzn_assoc_marketplace = \"amazon\";\r\namzn_assoc_region = \"US\";\r\namzn_assoc_default_search_phrase = \"crypto\";\r\namzn_assoc_default_category = \"All\";\r\namzn_assoc_search_bar = \"false\";\r\namzn_assoc_title = \"\";\r\namzn_assoc_rows =\"1\";\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"\/\/z-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/onejs?MarketPlace=US\"><\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>Computer scientist\u00a0Craig Wright believes Apple is in breach of his copyright to Bitcoin&#8217;s whitepaper.<\/p>\n<p>In an April 6 tweet, Wright responded &#8220;Yes&#8221; to a question that asked if he thinks Apple was in breach of copyright.<\/p>\n<p>Wright&#8217;s response was greeted with several snide tweets from the crypto community urging him to sue the giant technology company.<\/p>\n<p>It was unclear if Wright would take legal actions against Apple as of press time.<\/p>\n<p><em>CryptoSlate<\/em> reported that the Bitcoin whitepaper had been hosted on every Mac computer running Catalina or newer operating systems since as far back as 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Wright has repeatedly claimed that he is the creator of Bitcoin and the individual behind the pseudonym\u00a0Satoshi Nakamoto.<\/p>\n<h2>Wright has a history of Bitcoin litigation.<\/h2>\n<p>The self-proclaimed founder of Bitcoin has filed a litany of lawsuits over his intellectual right to the blockchain network.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Wright got a default judgment against the Bitcoin.org website to discontinue hosting its copy of the Bitcoin white paper. At the time, the community argued that Wright&#8217;s lawsuit ran contrary to the spirit of the network.<\/p>\n<p>However, a U.K. judge recently ruled against Wright&#8217;s claims over Bitcoin&#8217;s file format. According to the judge, copyright law cannot be applied to something whose subject matter is not expressed or fixed anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, that has not deterred the computer scientist&#8217;s controversial approach to the BTC network and its underlying technology.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Wright sued crypto exchanges Coinbase and Kraken over their misrepresenting of the &#8220;Bitcoin Core&#8221; as the actual Bitcoin. He says the real BTC is his Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV).<\/p>\n<p>In a separate lawsuit, Wright sued 15 developers to obtain 111,000 BTC worth $2.5 billion.
